The Sandhills Regional Education Consortium (SREC) recently hosted its prestigious Teacher of the Year and Principal of the Year Celebration, recognizing the exceptional achievements of educators and school leaders throughout the region. The event brought together Superintendents and leaders from across the area to honor the hard work and dedication of those who contribute to fostering academic excellence.
Held at the Cumberland County Schools Board of Education, the celebration was highlighted by an inspiring keynote address from Dr. Tracy Mulvaney, Dean of Education at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke (UNC-P). A passionate advocate for educational leadership and teacher development, Dr. Mulvaney spoke on the critical role that teachers and principals play in shaping the future of students and communities.
